Juried Exhibition

Thank you to everyone who participated in or attended Makers Alley’s 1st Annual Artisan and Craft Exhibition!

We were thrilled with the enthusiastic response and received an abundance of positive feedback from both the participating artists as well as the attendees who enjoyed viewing such a wide variety of high caliber art and artisan works from local artists!

Thank You Volunteers!
We couldn’t have managed the entire process of collecting the outstanding works submitted and putting on the exhibition without the extraordinary effort of our many dedicated volunteers! We offer a great big “Thank you!” to all of you!

Congratulations Artists!
Congrats as well to the 6 emerging artists: Priya Shah, Shawn Campbell, Christina Sorace MacKinnon, Ed Buffman, Halye Manchon, and Kathryn Reichert, and the 6 experienced artists:  Rory Mahon, Florence Moonan, Charles A. Farrell, Jeff Mase, Ray King, and Shannon Almanzar, recognized by our contributing jurist/artists Wendy and Harry Gordon, Chaz Hampton and Dana Stewart.

Thanks to our Exhibiting Partners
Due to the strong overall response, not only to the Makers Alley exhibition, but to the presentations offered by the other exhibiting collective participants – Hobart, ArtYard, SFA Gallery, Art Parlour, Portals, New Hope Arts, The MIX, and the Frenchtown Art Tour – we have already begun the planning stage earlier to facilitate a more robust 2nd October Festival in 2021.  Anyone interested in getting involved on our planning committee, please contact Skye Cooper at skye@makersalley.org.

We look forward to another successful event next year!

Recent Exhibit News

WOW!  We are pleased to report that with the closing of our 1st annual Artisan & Craft Exhibition entry period, over 55 artists submitted over 200 individual works to be considered!  With gratitude, we thank all who took the time and put the energy into bringing your work forward.  This overwhelming response affirms our earliest belief that our community of artists, artisans, and makers is growing and thriving in our area.  We look forward to seeing you at our exhibition’s opening day Sunday October 25th 12 – 5pm!  The exhibition will be open in person and online Friday – Sunday October 25th – November 9th with appropriate safety measures in place.

Entries are now to our jurors for review.  After reviewing all entries, the jurors will also select 12 of the accepted entries to receive special designation.  A special thanks to jurors Dana Stewart, Paul Steinbeiser, Chaz Hampton, Wendy Gordon, and Harry Gordon for lending their considerable knowledge to this exhibition!

A special Makers Alley thanks goes out to our resident neighbors in and around Frenchtown – and our River Arts Creatives partners who have all been truly supportive.
